Once I've received your flowers, I set them aside to dry for 6-8 weeks depending on the type of flower. Once your flowers are dry, they go into a waiting list for an available mould, and then the resin process can start.

I am not currently giving out completion dates as it's too difficult to tell when an order will be finished, and I don't want to confuse people by saying a date and it not being ready by then!

As a guide, the full process takes roughly 8-12 months to complete, with larger pieces or orders with multiple items taking longer than smaller pieces. I can't give an estimated date of completion as every order is unique, and handmade items can be very unpredictable!

I know this seems like a long time, but as I work alone this is how long it takes, and you'll have your flowers forever once it's finished!

I accept flowers in the post or dropped off in person. At this point in time I do not offer collection unless you're within 30 minutes of my location. If you choose to post your flowers, I will send you a detailed guide to package them and post them safely once you have paid your deposit.

Ideally bookings should be made roughly 6 months in advance. This ensures that there is space for me to preserve your flowers as I only take on a limited number of bookings each week. Please get in touch if you have left it late, as I may be able to fit you in depending on the date. 

You'll pay a £40 non-refundable deposit to book in your date, and then the final invoice will be due when I receive your flowers.

Please note we have a £150 minimum order value, and orders over £200 can be paid in 3 instalments: The first £40 deposit, the second 50% of the total amount once I receive your flowers, and the final 50% 8 weeks after that.

Flower preservation, as amazing as it is, isn’t magic! Your flowers will go through a huge process, and more likely than not, they’re not going to look exactly the same as they were when fresh.

They’re fully dried out during this process, and in most flowers this causes changes in colour and shape as the water leaves the petals. Bruises appear on the petals caused by fingers touching them and this makes the flowers sometimes have translucent spots when dry.

When being encased in resin, the flowers can change colour and shape again! Resin is like a thick honey consistency before curing, and so it can move the petals around when poured around them. Flowers can also darken slightly during the curing process.

All this to say, it’s really important to have realistic expectations for your flower preservation pieces!

While I’d like to believe I have a certain level of skill, and I use the best materials and equipment available, as well as going the extra step to colour-correct flowers so that they’re closer to their original colours, flowers are natural and changeable and that’s the beauty of them!

It is very normal for flowers to change in shape and colour after the drying process. In particular, white flowers will likely turn cream/yellow and red flowers will turn very dark.

I have developed a subtle colour correction technique using airbrushing that can help bring flowers back closer to their original colour. Any photos you can send of the flowers fresh are really helpful for matching the colours as close as I can!

Colour correcting isn’t an exact science and though I can definitely make the colours brighter, I can’t make them exactly the same as fresh. In particular white flowers will always dry a creamy beige/yellowish colour even with colour correction.

This depends the pieces you've chosen. For the larger 25cm pieces, I'll use more flowers than the smaller pieces.

I won't be able to send you any left over flowers, so if there are specific flowers you'd like preserving please let me know so that they're included in your final piece.

I'll send you monthly update emails to let you know which orders I'm currently working on.

I'll also send you designs to choose from for any large block pieces.

I'll let you know via email once your order is finished to confirm the delivery address before shipping.

Resin preservation pieces are solid and heavy, and care should be taken not to place them on a surface where they may fall and injure someone. 

The surface of your resin piece can be scratched easily, so we don't recommend using them as surfaces to place things on. 

Leaving your resin piece in direct sunlight can cause the piece to yellow over time. For this reason we don't recommend storing your piece on window sills or other areas which get direct sunlight regularly. 

To polish or dust your piece, take a microfibre cloth and very gently wipe the surface. No cleaning agents are necessary, but if you spill something on the piece warm water should clean it well. 

I aim to be completely transparent, which is why I'll never lie and say that resin doesn't yellow. ALL resin will eventually turn amber over time.

However, I use very high quality UV resistant resin which prevents the pieces from yellowing too quickly.

Always keep your pieces out of direct sunlight and UV light. This will help to delay the yellowing process.

You can cancel your order before I receive your flowers, however the £40 deposit is non-refundable.

If you've sent me your flowers but I haven't started the resin process, I will accept cancellations and can send the dried flowers back to you, although a percentage of the total cost will be withheld to cover drying and shipping costs.

Once the resin process has started I cannot accept cancellations.

For preservation orders, I don't accept returns or refunds, unless there is visible and qualifying damage to the piece when you receive it. Please see my full returns policy for more detail.

Please note, a change in the flower colour or shape do not qualify as damage and should be expected.
